Hello everyone! This is my first upload to itch.io and also my first devlog, so lots of new and exciting things happening in the world of Ducky! I've wanted to learn how to make a game for a long time, but apart from participating in the Wholesome Games Jam 2020 I had never done it before (if you're curious to see our project, check out The Hugging Ring by Team Durian!). 

I had the idea for a game called Ducky's Dance Party for ages, but wasn't exactly sure what shape it would take until I saw this 2D game tutorial on the Godot website. I followed it, well, closely enough to make things functional, but I couldn't resist adding a few Ducky adjustments. :3  The first functional build was uploaded here privately so I could share it with friends. Imagine my surprise when my friends began battling each other for the highest score! By popular demand, a leaderboard was created and I decided I may as well open up the game to the public. 

I think this is the foundation for a really fun little game, so I definitely plan to keep polishing it and adding features as time allows! It's just a hobby project for now, so updates will be few and far between, but I'll be sure to post as I upload new versions.
